Title: REAL ART FOR CHILDREN

Process is the most important part of children's art, but remember to respectfully appreciate what they do. Learn what art is to children and explore ways to enlighten parents (and yourself). Also presented will be tips on introducing famous artists to children and ways to complete your own work of art!

 

Title: LIGHTEN UP-LIFE'S TOO SHORT

If you feel put down/used up/wrung out, get crazy and de-stress yourself with hands-on ways to handle job stress, family stress and stress in general. Guaranteed to make you laugh and lighten up!

 

Title: CAN I HAVE IT WHEN YOU ARE DONE?

Positive reinforcement is the best way to discipline in childcare. Coach the children (even toddlers) to ask, "Can I have it when you're done?" This workshop offers a lot of sharing and key phrases to use with children and plenty of information on what battles to pick.

 

Title: "HANDS ON" FOR DAP

If it has not been in the hand, it is not in the brain! Discussion and activities to prove how children learn through exploratory play and ways to facilitate developmentally appropriate practice in your classroom.

 

Title: "PERKING" YOUR STAFF ALONG

Proven ways to "connect" with your staff; nurture them in the field and "perk" them professionally so they stay! Lecture with interactive role playing and activities.

 

Title: BUBBLES, BUTTERFLIES & BEAKERS

Science doesn't have to be boring or mind-boggling to work for young children. Hands-on play with water, nature items ... mini experiments ... resource materials available ... handouts ... and FUN!!! Simple theory explored.

 

Title: SPLASH AND MASH !

Psst! Forget the rules! Recipes and hands-on messes that you must experience and share with your children. Explanation and discussion of the benefits to a child's development when experiencing the process of messy activities on a regular daily basis!

 

Title: CLIMB IT, MOVE IT, RISK & BE FREE!!

Do you allow children to risk? Can YOU take risks? This interactive workshop allows you to take risks and learn how to set up your playground with moveables to allow children the freedom and creativity of RISK taking. It's a prerequisite to reading and good self-esteem!

 

Title: FABULOUS, FUN FESTIVALS

Get away from the holiday "crazies," stress and inappropriate activities. Ideas incorporate parent involvement and nature.

 

Title: THE TEENY, TINY FIVE ALIVE SENSES
Ages: Infant - Toddler

"How to" facilitate infants and young toddlers in the exploration of the world through their senses. Ideas and everyday items which can be used for awareness and growth of the teeny, tiny ones in your care.

 

Title: WOW - PROP BOXES
Ages: Toddler - School Age

Spark the children's day (and yours) with dramatic play boxes that put the "WOW" into the day. Ideas will involve family participation and hands-on materials.

 

Title: KID-CREATED BULLETIN BOARDS
Ages: Infant - School Age

STOP "overworking" yourself cutting out bulletin board ideas. Give ownership to the children! Photos and ideas to developmentally ensure truly child-created bulletin boards.

 

Title: MOTHER NATURE CELEBRATES
Ages: Preschool - School Age
Subject: Looking at holiday celebrations and festivals from Mother Nature's view point. Discussion and hands-on activities, gifts and ideas to offer children in your early childhood setting. Participants will be "creating" during this workshop.
